The off season strength and conditioning program is important to every program. It's the time for linemen to get bigger, backs to get faster, and kickers to get stronger. Kickers? Maybe not everywhere but at Cincinnati the "specialist" go through the same program the rest of the team does. It's all part of Butch Jones philosophy where everyone in the family is accountable, and does everything together.

The NFL Dream Begins
Over the next two weekend eight Bearcats will begin their dream of being an NFL player. Friday the first three reported to their teams, including QB Zach Collaros. Introductions between himself and the Buc's new head coach won't be necessary, it's former Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano.
We found this in the Tampa Tribune Saturday morning.
Schiano didn't have to spend too much time evaluating former Cincinnati quarterback Zach Collaros and former Rutgers tackle Desmond Wynn, both of whom were working out mostly on the two tryout fields.
"Desmond is a Rutgers guy who I recruited and know very very well and I thought he did a good job out there today," Schiano said. "And Zach is a guy I faced several times as the head coach at Rutgers who is just a proven winner.
"He may not have the height and some of those other things that you want (in a quarterback) but we had the opportunity to get him here and I'm anxious to see how he does the next couple days."
The other five Bearcats will be in their rookie camps next weekend.

"Intensity is in everything we do..."
College football doesn't have a "season", it's 12 months a year. There are plenty of breaks for the student athletes, but their focus on football is always there. Some coaches wrestle with the right approach that allows their team to turn their intensity off and on. At UC that's not a problem, their intensity is always on, in everything they do.
